Camping at Scioto Trails, 05/05/2021
Good afternoon all! What a week!! Last week was our son Daniel's birthday. We've been spending his birthdays camping and he enjoys it. I think he likes that he has our full attention and we try to do things he likes. For this post, I will just be sharing our camping weekend with you in pictures. I know most of these are the same from previous posts, but wanted to share the park upgrades since then.
After we set up Friday, we went to one of our favorites for dinner, Fred's Pizza in Waverly, Ohio. Great food, seriously! We dined in that night, first for us. Daniel played some arcade games there. Afterward, back to the campsite....
We had gotten him a similar cake a couple of years ago and he never stopped going on about it. Loved we were able to order this and surprise him with it.
My morning walk on Saturday....
I never tire of this view. So calming to have this as one of the first things you see when you start your day.
Foot bridge from part of the campgrounds over to the water and park.
One of the picnic sites.
May apples in bloom but no fruit yet.
One of the trail heads.
Another trail head.
I think the playground shows the most improvements here.
The brown building in the back is the camp store. We were told that they were thinking of painting it. I really hope they don't, it looks more natural and blends as it is.
Dedication monument to the park.
It looks so pretty in the evening.
They typically show movies in the summer.
I think it's cute they named the projector.
These two images are directly behind our campsite.
I love hearing the water trickle.
Our campsite. A little hard to see, but we bring a fire ring to set in the campground ring. It gives the wood lift to be able to burn better. Our cornhole board to the right.
Chloe enjoying the evening on my lap.
Mmmmm... s'mores!!
And one last evening view of the lake.
That's it for now! Take care and God Bless!!
