Update. 08/23/2021
Hey all! Sorry it's been so long, but, whew! I feel like I've been run ragged! Where to start....Let's see, been about a month ago, so here we go! So I did have terrible side effects from the Arava. My blood pressure was running in the high 160s/120s. Rheumatology, who prescribed it, was not willing to do anything and just advised to stop taking it and see my PCP. I asked about the cholestyramine wash out and they said they would only prescribe it to women who were pregnant, apparently not those headed for a stroke! Fortunately, I do have the best PCP and was prescribed it and clonidine to help until after the washout. I just finished the washout and my blood pressure is slowly going back to normal. Once it's back to normal range, I'll start the sulfasalazine. Fingers crossed there! I've been working to get my sewing machines and class done. I think I FINALLY will have the last machine of the first class so I may submit the assignment and test. I even got start...
