Pumpkins for Pam, New Pattern!

Hi all! It's been waaay too long since my last post!! But, I've been a bit busy here, working on my sewing machines and crafting (and gardening, selling eggs, kid out of school, getting ready for camping and so forth!!). I wanted to share this, my latest pattern!

Since we haven't been able to have quilt guild meetings, a small group of us, after getting our vaccines, started to meet at each others houses. As a hostess gift, I started making during our meet ups, spool pin doilies. Since we all sew, I figured these would be great gifts and so far, well received. I usually just free hand a pattern while I'm there to make it more special to the person I'm giving it to. Recently, we went to a fellow guild member's home, Pam. Her home is so decorative! Throughout, it's adorned with pumpkins in some craft form. Quilts, quilted wall hangings, paintings, small felted accent pillows and so on. And I am a huge pumpkin lover! We all live near Circleville, Ohio, which is known for its annual (except for 2020) Pumpkin Show. The theme? Pumpkins of course! Pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin waffles, pumpkin burgers, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin fudge, you get the picture. There is also the giant Pumpkin Pie showcased at Lindsey's Bakery on Main Street where they sell pumpkin donuts year round. There is also the giant pumpkin tower and the giant pumpkin contest in which local growers see who can grow the biggest. The pumpkins are weighed and the Pumpkin King sets on display. Tons of other activities, several parades, music, and judgings. Sorry, got a little caught up, it was announced that we will be having the Pumpkin Show this year! It has been held for over a century so a lot of people were pretty salty last year at the cancellation.

But, for Pam, and a fellow pumpkin lover, she didn't get a spool pin doily. I ordered some new crochet thread and got to work as soon as I received it. And here it is!

I made it with 2 different borders so that one is frilly and the other not so much. The pattern is available for purchase with more images (sorry for this, I'm not qualified yet for ads from Google to help with costs) on my new Ravelry page, Knots, Frogs and Stitches. Please do not sell my patterns and please give me the credit for creating the patterns.

Update:

This pattern is also available on Etsy at my shop Knotty Frogger.
