Exhausted Monday, Singer 7050 Progress, Garden, 04/12/2021

Good morning all! Sorry it's been a while, my mother had surgery Friday so I've spent a lot of time there and up with her all night last night. She's been having a lot of discomfort from it. Just going to give a couple of updates here then back over to her house to be her fetch person!

A little chilly here today, rainy and about 60F. My greenhouse is still alive and kicking and I think the changes I had made is helping.

The temp and humidity is a little off, but considering the weather today, I don't think it's too bad.

My little butternut squash is looking good!

The tomatoes. Not looking the best, but looks like most will survive.

Unfortunately, the little cabbages did not start strong, so have new ones starting.

The fly strip doing its job. When I put the compost in, which was the cleanout from the chicken coop, the greenhouse got overrun by bugs. Fortunately there's only 2 bugs left.

The greenhouse is nestled between the two apple trees and both are starting to blossom.

Cherry tree blossoming.

Grape vine with leaves growing.

And my daughter went mushroom hunting Saturday. Nice little batch for her!

My family was able to help get soil to get the beds filled. Will be adding 6 containers soon as well. The beds and containers will be getting potting soil blended in as well.

The Singer 7050 I've been working on is getting closer to being finished. I've gotten most of it done, but as I was putting it together prior to the greasing and oiling, I found that the "buttonhole actuator adjusting rod spring" was missing. What I am guessing, is that the spring was off while I was getting the hook drive belt on and the cat ran off with it someplace. I looked around a little but couldn't find it. I found a similar spring online that I am hoping will fit so I can get this machine done and out of here. I still need to get the motor cover addressed, but have a day or so before that happens. When the Singer gets done, I will share pictures of her.

Okay all, I need to get back to being the support person for my parents. Take care, stay safe and God Bless!
