Guild BOMC, BeaverCraft, CHOCOLATE!! 03/10/2021

Good evening all! Long day, spent the morning cleaning. Swept and mopped kitchen and bathroom, cleaned bathroom, dishes, laundry and a little organizing. Really had fun finally playing with a Christmas present from my father. The BeaverCraft Wizard Carving kit! A lot of fun, purchased on Amazon and BeaverCraft sends you a link for a full tutorial for this. Comes with 3 pieces of wood, a knife, finger wrap, pencil, bandaids (thought this was funny! but not the brand Band-Aid) pattern and instructions. Struggled a bit, my fingers weren't very happy with holding everything and the grip on the blade but definitely fun. I like trying new crafts, you never know what resonates with you. Unfortunately, just realized I had a blister and it pulled open. So, will be a bit before I can pick it back up.

The quilt guild I belong to has an annual Block of the Month. This year, it is just to make blocks based on the month/holiday. Really running behind. I have the February block cut out and the fabric for March, but will try to work on them tomorrow or Friday. Here's my January block:


The fabric is from my mom, she quilts. A lot. And she's really good at it! I've been learning a lot from her. I used my hand as a model and just rounded the lines for a pattern. I appliqued it on and added a fur trim to make it more fun.

Ghirardelli. Okay, I fell in love with their Dutch-process cocoa. My last delivery, I stopped and read the packaging a little more. Of course, about all businesses have websites but did not realize all the recipes they had on theirs! Right now, I have a pan of their "Fudgy Chocolate Brownies" in the oven. Can't wait!! Pumpkins for Pam, New Pattern!

Hi all! It's been waaay too long since my last post!! But, I've been a bit busy here, working on my sewing machines and crafting (and gardening, selling eggs, kid out of school, getting ready for camping and so forth!!). I wanted to share this, my latest pattern! Since we haven't been able to have quilt guild meetings, a small group of us, after getting our vaccines, started to meet at each others houses. As a hostess gift, I started making during our meet ups, spool pin doilies. Since we all sew, I figured these would be great gifts and so far, well received. Spring Gardening & Products, 03/22/2021

  Good morning all! A beautiful morning here in Ohio, a balmy 58F degrees right now. I've been busy outside getting my garden ready for planting. I was able to get the additional 4 beds and just got them assembled this morning. Here is my current garden. Still cleaning and weeding yet, so don't mind the mess! This is the side view. Wanted you to see the nifty spigot with hose reel. I plan on getting another steel flexible garden hose. I haven't taken an inventory yet of the watering system, but pretty sure I still need to get more of the bubbler tops and stakes. We picked up a plastic walk-in greenhouse while we were out this weekend. I plan on putting it up this afternoon and getting my seedlings out there. I will add those pictures of the greenhouse later. Here is my seedlings so far. The cabbages on the far end are already an inch long! I was surprised at how quickly they sprouted.
