Happy Wednesday! (02/24/2021)
Hello all! Well, been a long past few weeks. Several family member birthdays of late, so too much cake and going to HAVE to start watching my intake as I've put on a few pounds with holidays and all.
Had a setback this past week.... the sweater! Previously, I shared a pic of a sweater I was making for my daughter (lol, featuring Isabel!). I was finally able to catch her for a fitting before I finished all the tucking and cast off the neck. UGH!! The underarms were too tight and she asked for the sleeves to be longer. I had been using a top of hers to gauge the size. I know, I know, should've taken actual measurements. So now...
Been a few weeks since I've been able to post. Been having a lot of internet issues here with all the family in the house so many days at once. I've gotten through I think another sewing machine, Kenmore 158 and starting on a Singer 7050.
Found a new cool crochet project from all the sewing machine cleanings! Spool pin doilies!! If you sew, you know to use a felt pad under your thread spool to keep it from wearing into the machine. I actually purchased a pack a few months ago and honestly, a lot of money for a few little disks of felt with holes punched through it! I'm in a vintage sewing machine group online and someone recently posted these doilies that she saw. Tons of them on Pinterest but I've been making from mainly my own patterns. I did use one pattern for the first one I made to get an idea of them but made some changes while using the pattern for my preferences. The Christmas colored one is the pattern that came from Lace Lovin' Librarian Spool Pin Doily
Saw the rheumatologist yesterday. Taking me off the methotrexate injectable due to the side effects I was having - bad sensation 30 minutes after the injection, hair still coming out and nails starting to split in the middle of the beds. Going back to the oral form, 8 tabs a week. Going to see how this goes after a couple of months and see how that works. And stupid thumb nodule aching a lot lately!!
Okay all, that's all I've got for now! Take care and God Bless!!
That's a great post I must say
