I'm Back for 2021!

Hello out there!! Looking back, it's been a while since I posted - what a year.... <sigh>. I know 2020 was a challenging year for everyone!! For me, gee whiz! My children started around Thanksgiving, 2019. My daughter was sick, tested positive for flu type A. She got over it and was sick again. My son got sick, got over it, but a couple of weeks later sick again. He tested positive for flu type C. Hubby got sick in January and went to urgent care. He was told just that it was a virus. Funny enough, he got tested in June and was positive for COVID antibodies. So, now not sure what the other illnesses the children had. For me, I went without any illness as far as viruses went. However, during our camping vacation, started out thinking I had a bug bite on my right lower shoulder. Got a little more itchy and had hubby use his phone so I could see it. Greeeaaaat. Got an appointment with my most terrific, awesome PCP and she confirmed my suspicion that it was shingles! Okay, let m...

Gone for a bit (06/01/2020)

Hey all. New DX of shingles. Having the worst pain I could ever imagine. Spending most of my time now sleeping from meds. Hopefully will be back soon. Take care and God Bless!

Scioto Trails, 2018

One of our favorite places to camp for a weekend is at Scioto Trails. This is located in Ross County, Ohio. Its a smaller park, which is great as not a lot of loud people or parties. The staff is nice, good little camp store, and a few other perks there. Another bonus is that there is an outdoor theater not far away. They mainly do Tecumseh! throughout the year, but also give a Shakespeare performance or two during the year. They also have other events, so nice to check it out before planning a trip there. Here's my photos from one of our weekends in 2018.

As able, I like to try to bake a few things for the family to enjoy. My daughter complained recently that everything was sugar free and that she wanted a "normal" treat. So, found a few decent recipes on All Recipes. This has been my go-to app for recipes of late. I found a few and picked one... Turned out very yummy!! The recipe was labeled as Pineapple Upside-Down Cake from Scratch. So, if you're in the mood, worth a shot. Spring has definitely been in full swing. I enjoy seeing the world come to life, with all of the colors, smells and sensations. In front of the house we have poppies blooming. I love how the petals look like delicate crepe paper. I think I will try water colors again to see if I can come close to these, so pretty. But mainly have been pre-occupied with trying to keep my min...
