Crafting, Camping, Cooking and Life! (with RA!)

 Howdy all! Everything is still pretty hectic here. This time of year, outside of the garden, is also when all the quilting and crafting is happening in my area. I was excited to work with the local library in starting a crochet and knit group. We will be meeting monthly. My information was also shared with a local life skills group, so hoping that our crowd will be decent. I think there was a term in one of my favorite British knit magazines, knitting and nattering, love that!  But mainly, I just finished crocheting a gift for a friend. His birthday is October 30th, so I wanted to make a little gift for him. Halloween is his fav holiday as well, so thought this appropriate! Unfortunately, I was so excited for finishing it, that I messaged it to him, birthday surprise ruined! Oh well, he is happy. I was also able to get the pattern written up today as well as the graph.  Hey all! Sorry it's been so long, but, whew! I feel like I've been run ragged! Where to start....Let's see, been about a month ago, so here we go! So I did have terrible side effects from the Arava. My blood pressure was running in the high 160s/120s. Rheumatology, who prescribed it, was not willing to do anything and just advised to stop taking it and see my PCP. I asked about the cholestyramine wash out and they said they would only prescribe it to women who were pregnant, apparently not those headed for a stroke! Fortunately, I do have the best PCP and was prescribed it and clonidine to help until after the washout. I just finished the washout and my blood pressure is slowly going back to normal. Once it's back to normal range, I'll start the sulfasalazine. Fingers crossed there! I've been working to get my sewing machines and class done. I think I FINALLY will have the last machine of the first class so I may submit the assignment and test. I even got start...

  Good afternoon! Been a bit, but also been a little hectic around here. Was camping a few weeks ago, a lot of storms lately, busy in the garden and, well, pretty much everything else! So proud of the younger men here, the youngest got his drivers permit and a part-time job and the eldest just passed his motorcycle permit test today!! Good afternoon all! My daughter turned 22 last week and we decided to celebrate it over the weekend due to her work schedule. A lovely meal Saturday night and having cake and ice cream Sunday evening. Her request for a cake was a lemon cake with drizzle but covered with lovely flowers.
