Crafting, Camping, Cooking and Life! (with RA!)

And another day! After all the weather changes, my neck and shoulders feel like I had a three hour workout while I slept. Late getting up and dragging. A few (several) minutes of my SWGOH and new one, Emmas Adventure California, time for chores! Takes a bit to wake up, so I guess my bit of game play is just that. Take the dog outside, take care of the chickens. My son is supposed to be caring for them but getting him to do that, HA! The stay at home order I guess gives him the excuse to live the "life of leisure". I'm not really complaining, too much. I need and appreciate the movement, the walk to get out a bit more than I have of late. I finish, brew a cup of decaf and off to spend my hour with dad, or as I call him, Pops. We try to spend week mornings over a cup, we joke that we're solving the problems of the world. Precious time, with our families. Especially as we age. I can't imagine not taking the opportunity to spend with my parents, especially given their...

So, here is where it begins! Very tired, a bit of an emotional day with headaches. I think a lot of people can relate. Starting the day off with "Mom, what's for breakfast". And it doesn't stop after this! A couple of loads of dishes, made a loaf of bread; not a lot that compares to the nostalgia of a fresh loaf of bread baking in the home. I love my bread machine!! This one is my second, I still have my first in the basement. My hubby bought this for me about 6 years ago. It's a Kenmore and has a couple more options than my first one. I was happy to see that you can get a replacement knead bar if needed. I have a terrible habit of ignoring the beeps and not removing the bar. I have a small cut in it when I was tearing into a loaf a few months ago. Really didn't get a lot else done today, just trying to rest and take it easy. Made some yummy bars today though. I dug through my moms cookbooks recently in search of a favorite recipe from my childhood. My siste...

  09/18/2017 Well, laying here and reflecting this past weekend. CRAZY! Took our new 2017 camper out to a very lovely park. Within less than 12 hours, found that the water pump housing was cracked and that the fresh water sensor was not working correctly. Had to be taken back to the dealer to get some TLC. Go figure! I did find some good buys at Camping World. Towards the end of the season (big assumption, huh??) and found nice cookbooks and gadgets there. Well worth a visit and shopping. They have memberships for discounts which is worthwhile to look into as well. Not sure when we get to see our new "second home" but hopefully in a couple of weeks for the second round and hopefully be able to get some nice pix of her! Take care and God Bless!
