Trucks and stuff, Tuesday, 03/02/2021

Good morning and Happy Tuesday! Been a somewhat interesting week. Been looking at trucks to get rid of our Dodge and get something that can pull a little more weight. Hubby and I have been discussing our retirement plans. We had/have been discussing a couple of different options. Either retire in a camper to travel meaning a need to get a different truck and camper or retire in a house with a smaller truck and camper for our trips. Regardless, either plan would require a truck to handle the load. Our current truck is adequate for the camper we have but we're close to the tow limit on it. Also, since I am no longer working, we've been discussing getting rid of our Nissan Rogue and our Dodge Ram and use a newer truck as our primary vehicle. We also have our older Hyundai Accent that just needs a couple of repairs that we can use until our son gets his drivers license and starts driving. But we've looked at a few trucks and tried them out but they all seem like "one offs". We talked to the salesman at one dealership that we tested 3 trucks and told him what we were looking for. They said that they will help us find it and for that we're pretty grateful. We found that the Nissan Titans have a really good towing capacity in the diesel model and 2017 and newer have the extra features we're looking for. Just a waiting game at this point.

This morning I have an appointment with my Psychologist and getting my coffee ready to take. She's a really nice provider, I like talking to her. She's been trying to get me to use the "not my fault" for my health issues and not working but it's really hard to look at things that way. When you've worked at least 2 jobs, sometimes more, most of your life to get to the point that you have a pretty good salary to do a little nicer things, it's hard to not feel bad about it. Even with the bupropion, I still burst into tears a lot. Hopefully that passes. My PCP calls it adjustment disorder with depression. Oh, and a touch of ADD lol. And really still digging the Melita pour over coffee system. Love the smoother coffee taste. Again, takes a little longer, but if you have the time, totally worth it.

Sewing machines. I did get the Kenmore finished and started tearing the Singer 7050 apart. Had to jinx myself, found that one of the lower shaft gears completely rotted. I need to open the rest of the covers and see if any other major issues before I place my parts order. Frustrated with myself in that I can't find my Singer repair and parts disc. Hopefully I can find it soon. I was able to find a better free user manual for it so that will help. I've not used a sewing machine with a bobbin set up like this before.

Weather has been pretty nice, a little chilly yesterday and this morning. I will be starting my layout plans for my garden this year and will share that when I have a good draft.

Alright, almost time to go. Coffee ready and need to finish getting ready. Have a great Tuesday and God Bless!!
